The ‘Listening to Learn, Learning to Grow’ artwork by David Williams was created for TUH’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan to tell the story of TUH’s reconciliation journey.
Its story is one of collective footsteps. A story that’s ever-changing. There are many steps yet to take. Reconciliation can’t happen by itself or overnight. It’s challenging. It’s ongoing. It needs a collective commitment to listening and taking real-life action.
This artwork symbolises TUH’s commitment to reconciliation at both organisational and individual levels – everyone has a part to play on this journey of learning, unlearning, and re-learning. When TUH is driven, curious, and brave, working in solidarity to take care of its members and one another, it can authentically inspire a greater understanding and awareness of reconciliation.
And by truly listening to and learning from First Nations voices and perspectives it can build a healthier and more equitable future for all Australians.
