The ‘Every Day Counts’ campaign and animation brings the audience into the world of Jimmy and Sam the Dog, voiced by Sam Thaiday, as together they face the everyday challenges of going to school. With a community-driven process, Gilimbaa conceived, scripted and animated a campaign that brought together fun characters and relevant issues for children and their education. Turning everyone’s favourite Indigenous all stars into animated characters, the campaign has had tremendous impact and traction in community.
The animation was also extended and developed into a comic book. This explored scenarios from the animation and also introduced extra dilemmas for Jimmy and Sam to overcome.
