‘Who Cares for the Carer?’ is a pocket resource designed to be used by carers at the early stages of their caring role and was the brainchild of Corrie Furner and Aunty Lorraine Tye, who are both carers themselves.
Filled with knowledge, advice, and encouragement, and interspersed with Wiradjuri language, ‘Who Cares for the Carer?’ is the ultimate support resource for those dedicated, hardworking, and often uncelebrated members of our communities who work as carers.
A cultural element was developed for the resource by David Williams to symbolise the role of a carer within the support network of the carer community. It encourages carers to reach out and connect with their community so that all carers can feel supported and secure on their journey. The Gilimbaa graphic design team designed the document, including providing bespoke illustrations.
